Facts & Figures: About 589,000 inhabitants live in an area of about 218 km² in the city. Düsseldorf is divided into 10 city districts and 49 urban districts. The state capital offers its residents and visitors 31 theatres, drama and variety houses, 40 museums and exhibition rooms and of course the "longest bar in the world", the Bolkerstrasse, which has more than 50 restaurants, pubs and bars at a height of around 300 metres.
