General: Tenerife - the sun island of eternal spring
West of the African continent and south of the Spanish mainland, the majestic volcanic island of Tenerife can be found in the Atlantic Ocean. It is not only the biggest island of the Canarian Islands, but also the most versatile with a very wide range of landscapes. With its many different climates and growth zones and its idiosyncratic, lush flora and fauna, the most diverse island of the Canary Islands offers a variety of mountain ranges, sandy beaches, deserts, volcanoes, rugged cliffs, protected bays, tourist centres and cultural cities.
