Your experience

  • Get to know Bali's history at a dance performance
  • Visit the elephant cave Goa Gajah
  • Enjoy the view of the volcano Batur
  • Discover the Gunung Kawi King's Tombs
  • Explore the Temple of Tirta-Empul and its water gardens
  • Stroll through the artists' village Ubud

Place 1: Barong Dance The tour starts with a show of the balinese Barong Dance which is supported by a gamelan-orchestra. The subject of the dance is the fight between order and mess. We will explain all about the dance drama because it has a very long and extensive history.

Place 2: Elephant Cave Goa Gajah: This cave was built in the 11st century and is believed to be the worship-place of god Ganehsa (alias Elephant God). Even though the proper history of the cave isn't clear yet, you'll admire. The old statuary on the spot prove the extensive history.

Place 3: Kintamani Our third station will be the village Kintamani which is located on the crater edge of the volcano Batur. On the edge of the crater (which has a diameter of 12 kilometer) you'll have a picturesque view to the 1717 meter high and still activ volcano Batur and the crater lake which flows on its feet.

Place 4: Gunung Kawi Royal Tombs The Gunung Kawi (Poet Mountain) Royal Tombs are situated in the idyllic ravine of Pakerisan and are declared as Hindus Sanctuary since the 11st century. There are two temple complexes which were discovered by a dutch scientist after a long research of mythology in 1920.

Place 5: Tirta-Empul-Temple In this temple you can find one of the most famous spring of Bali. Its appealing and quiet burbling water gardens presents a refreshing and aesthetic view. The legend sais that Balis gods were attacked by demons and that they were chased to a poisoned spring during a war. After they have drunken of this, they died.

Place 6: Artist's Village Ubud Here you will get to know all variations of Balis handcrafts. Enjoy a circuit where you can find a lot more than the worldwide conventional handcrafts-markets offer. The surrounding Artists Villages are specialized on art genres which you can admire right here.
