Your experience

You will be picked up from your hotel/seaport with a private vehicle.

First we will visit the Hippodrome which was once a social and sport center. Horse racing and chariot racing were the popular recreation in the ancient world and hippodromes were so common in Greek cities during Hellenic, Roman and Byzantine time. Monuments in the Hippdrome are for example the Obelisque of Theodosius, the serpentine column, the Walled column and the German fountain.

Then we will go on with the beautiful Blue Mosque (in Turkish Sultan Ahmet Camii) which was built between 1609 and 1616 by a Student of Architect Sinan, Sedefkar Mehmet Aga with order of Sultan Ahmet I. This is the only mosque which has 6 minarets in Turkey from the Ottoman time. Its magnificent exterior doesn't create a shadow for its marvelous interior in which real symphony of nice İznik tilescreates a special atmosphere.

We will also visit the famous Hagia Sophia (Ayasofya in Turkish) that served for both, Christianity and Islam, in different times. Back in 537 when it was first built, it was since then used as an Eastern Orthodox Church till 1453. When Constantinople was conquered by the Ottoman Turks, the hall attracted the attention of the new Ottoman Empires and was later transformed into an Imperial Mosque. Serving as a mosque for nearly five centuries, the Hagia Sophia was at last converted into a museum. And till date, it serves as a museum containing a golden history evolving from time to time. Despite having one of the greatest examples of Byzantine architecture, the exceptionally luscious interior design is much more admired as a masterpiece of works.

The Topkapi Palace was the administration center of Ottoman empire from 1468 till 1856. Construction of the palace was ordered by Mehmet II in 1458 and completed in 1465. The Palace was situated between the Golden Horn and the Sea of Marmara, and from there the palace has a splendid view on the Bosphorus. ThePalace has 4 courtyard and especially the 3rd courtyard has special halls to see like for example Treasury, Holly relics, Sultan dresses and Sultan portraits. The Harem was the part of the Palace where the women were living .

Our last stop will be the Grand Bazaar. It's one of the oldest and largest covered markets of the world. It is a store house of life with 61 covered streets and more than 3.000 covered stores offering almost anything and everything you need. The Grand Bazaar is a part of the walled city of Istanbul. The bazaar was constructed during 1455 and 1461. The market is a place filled with life, with dazzling lights and the noise of life within the walls of traditional Turkish architecture.

At the end of the tour your will be drop off to your hotel or the seaport.
