All in all a well guided and interesting day tour. Sometimes there is little time for your own explorations outside the program.

Very good price-performance ratio. You get an awful lot to see in one day. But that doesn't give me enough time for the things I really want to see. The guide in Siena was very nice but had to rattle her story because she had to tell everything in far too little time to both the Germans and the French guests I found the wine tasting terribly ordinary. The time for this really could have been better used

Description

The tour starts in Florence and the first stop is in Monteriggioni, world famous for its wines and unsurpassed charm. The landscape is characterised by woods, vineyards and olive groves, interspersed with Romanesque churches, farms, villas and castles

In Siena the local guide will take you through the old streets, from where you can admire the palaces of the city. You will also visit the Palazzo Comunale and the Palazzo del Campo, where the Palio Race is held every year.

Afterwards you have enough time for lunch (not included in the price) and if you like some shopping.

The next stop is San Gimignano, a fascinating example of a medieval town that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you have free time at your disposal and can explore the city with its beautiful squares, buildings and churches on your own from the centre.

The last part of our tour includes wine tasting in authentic surroundings on a farm. You can taste some of the best wines of the region, accompanied by small delicacies such as cold cuts, bruschetta and cheese.

The return journey to Florence starts in the late afternoon.
