Full-Day Excursion to Mount Kazbegi from Tbilisi

If you want to leave the city behind you and discover the surrounding area and Mount Kazbegi you should join our full-day excursion.

The mountain measures 5,033 meters above sea level and offers amazing views onto the surrounding landscape.

We will start the tour early morning in Tbilisi and pick you up at your hotel. You will travel along the Georgian Military Highway and on our way we will stop at the 16th century Ananuri Fortress located by the Argavi River.

We will continue our tour to Cross Pass and you can admire the spectacular view of the mountain range and the Aragvi River Gorge.

The next stop is the village of Stepantsminda, located at the foot of Kazbegi mountain. On the slopes of the mountain, we will see the ancient 12th-century Gergeti Trinity church and the famous 5th-century cave of Bethlehem.

Before we start our return back to Tbilisi you shaould pay a visit to the Dariali Gorge, running along the border to Russia, and discover the beautiful castle in the area.

The road up to Mount Kazbegi lays through high mountains and the last 15 kilometers are damaged, meaning the driving distance to the mountain sometimes takes up to 4 hours.
