Pay a visit to Riddarholmen in Summer
The old town of Stockholm is situated in the heart of the city and represents Sweden's history and culture. It was founded in 13th century, but most of the yellow and red houses were built in 17th or 18th century. A lot of small alleys, paved streets and colourful small market places form a contorted web, that is a good example of the Nordic architecture. A lively mix of cafés, souvenir shops, museums and galleries invites both first-time visitors of Stockholm and local residents to a city stroll.
During this 1,5-hour walking tour your guide will impart things to know about Stockholm and tell you some amusing stories: How many rooms has the Royal Palace? What mean Saint George and the Dragon legend to Sweden? Why is the present old town larger than in founding period? And where is the narrowest alley of the old town?
In summer we also visit the islands Riddarholmen after our old town walk: Enjoy the fascinating view of the lake inside Stockholm and the beautiful scenery of the city.
Join our guided city tour that brings the old town to life with stories, legends and humour!
