You'll start your 3.5-4 hour walking tour with the beginnings of Berlin's 800-year history, before moving over to the UNESCO World Heritage site Museum Island, with its impressive neo-classical architecture. Your expert guide will then lead you down the world-famous boulevard 'Unter den Linden', stopping at various places including the book burning memorial, and the Memorial to the Victims of War and Tyranny, before arriving at Berlin's most famous monument, the Brandenburg Gate.
After you pass through the gate you'll get a great view of the Reichstag, Germany's parliament building, before moving on to the Memorial for the murdered Jews of Europe.
After a short break for the classic German coffee and cake you'll begin part two of the walking tour. Your guide will take you to the former site of Hitler's Bunker, where the dictator spent his last days. Your journey into the history of the Third Reich will then continue at the former Nazi air force ministry, before entering the history of the Cold War at the Berlin Wall and Checkpoint Charlie.
To finish the tour your guide will take you to Berlin's most beautiful square: Gendarmenmarkt
