If you go to St.Petersburg for more than one day, you should definitely plan to visit the magnificant residence of the Russian tsars. The former summer residence of Peter I. is located on the southern shore of the Gulf of Finland and about 30 kilometers away from St. Petersburg.
The palace with its elegant gardens and numerous fountains is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Russia and belongs to the World Cultural Heritage of the UNESCO.
Upon arrival, you will visit the Grand Palace to visit its interiors made in all different styles. Furthermore you will discover the ballroom, the chinese living rooms, and the oak cabinet with authentic Panels of Peter the I.
Afterwards you will visit the Lower Park with more than 100 fountains situated in it. There you can see the Spectaculous main cascade with a statute of Samson fighting with a Lion, which symbolizes the victory of Russia over Sweden. Finally, enjoy the panoramic view from the seafront of the Baltic sea.
