Highlights

  • Take a bike tour at sunset and explore Ayutthaya in an unusual way
  • Look at the illuminated temples
  • Enjoy Thai delicacies
  • Visit the night market and get an insight into Ayutthaya's nightlife

Description

First cross the river Mae Nam Pa Sak by boat. On the other side, you will cycle across Chao Phrom Market, the most popular market in Ayutthaya. Then drive past the Chankasem Palace, which today houses the National Museum, an old prison and the Hua Ro Market. Finally you reach the Bang Lan night market. Stroll over the lively night market, look at the many offers and treat yourself to a Thai snack

After the sun has set, drive to Wat Mahathat Temple, one of the most famous temples in the historical park of Ayutthaya. Consider the most important sight of the Buddhist temple, the Buddha head, which is grown into a fig tree. While you cycle through the historical park, you pass the illuminated temple complex of Wat Ratchaburana and the temple ruins of Wat Phra So Sanphet. After sunset, the ruins of the Temple in the ancient capital are beautifully illuminated with spotlights, giving you a magnificent view. Then take a break in a local restaurant and enjoy a typical Thai dinner

Afterwards you cross the bridge on the Chao Phraya River, from where you already have Ruins of the fascinating temple of Wat Chaiwattanaram. We continue to Wat Lokayasutharam, the temple of the resting Buddha, which is known for its huge reclining Buddha statue. On the way back you will pass the illuminated city pillars of Ayutthaya, which are visited by many people to make offerings and pray
