Your experience

Description

You’ll be picked up at your accommodation and brought to Khor Virap, a well-known place in Armenia. The monastery is primarily notable for its vivid past events. Gregory Illuminator, who try to spread Christianity in the country was imprisoned here for a long time. Despite its history, the monastery is a wonderful sight, surrounded by green vineyards.

Next you’ll explore another part of Armenia which is famous for its long wine producing tradition. According to recent discoveries, one of the oldest wine pots found worldwide is a witness of this fact. Enjoy your lunch in an amazing natural cave restaurant in Noravank gorge.

Then you’ll pay a visit to Noravank monastery. Admire this masterpiece of architecture, situated in a narrow gorge and surrounded by impressing rocks. Learn about its history of origin and the architectural styles used here before heading back to Yerevan. On your way back you’ll have the chance to visit the Areni winery. Take part in a free tasting of local wines in order to complete your perfect day trip.
