In former times, this street used to be an area riddled with drug addicts and criminals. Nowadays, the Zeedijk s Street is one of the most important streets of Amsterdam's Chinatown.
Take a look at sights such as Amsterdam's Buddist Temple and visit the famous café In 't Aepjen. Legend has it that this was the city's first bar and a popular place among sailors. Then admire the Waag, a 15th century building on Nieuwmarkt Square. Walk to the Old Church, the oldest building in Amsterdam's and also the centre of the Red Light District. Explore the area that is also called Rossebuurt and pass by various sights such as the narrowest street in Amsterdam, the first coffeeshop and some smartshops.
Pass by the famous prostitute streets and learn more about the history and current situation of the oldest profession in the world.
