Your experience

Description

A visit to the National 9/11 Memorial & Museum is a highly charged experience, guaranteed to stir deep emotions in the visitor. The memorial outside is a stirring tribute to those who lost their lives, and the museum is a powerful exploration of the events of 11 September. These tickets are the only ones that don't require a timeslot for the museum, so it's the most flexible way to enter this must-see site.

The 9/11 Museum has a collection of over 10,000 artifacts collected from Ground Zero - including a section of antenna from the roof of the North Tower, and the remains of a fire truck. The exhibition is collected into three sections, Before 9/11, the Day of 9/11, and After 9/11 - to show the scale of the event. It's a dense and powerful exploration of the day that changed the world.

Explore photos capturing the hyper-real moments of 9/11, watch interviews, and hear firsthand accounts of the events and their aftermath. Though it's difficult to be confronted with this history, these exhibits not only delve into moments of terror and sadness - they also pay tribute to people’s ability to come together in the face of profound adversity.

The 9/11 Memorial outside, created by architects Michael Arad and Peter Walker, lies in the space where the World Trade Center complex once was. Two immense manmade waterfalls create hauntingly beautiful pools, surrounded by 76 bronze plates inscribed with the names of the nearly 3,000 victims of terrorism on this site.

A forest of nearly 400 sweet gum and swamp white oak trees surrounds the pools. These trees (and the rush of the waterfalls) help block out the city noise, and create a more contemplative atmosphere.
