This Discover Krakow Walking Tour includes the city's most important sites and is the perfect choice for first-timers. You will meet your guide at the Main Market Square of Krakow and walk through the Planty Gardens. See the remaining parts of the city wall and gaze at the majestic Barbican and St. Florian's Gate. On your way back to the Main Market Square, you will learn more about the legend of St. Mary's Basilica. Take a look at the Cloth Hall, St. Adalbert's Church and the Town Hall Tower.

Then continue your way to the university district and marvel at the buidlings of the Jagiellonian University. See the oldest academic building in Poland, Collegium Maius, and the rector's office, Collegium Novum. Listen to touching stories about World War II and follow the footsteps of pope John Paul II.Explore his former house, the Bishop's Palace and the Franciscan Church. After discovering the Old Town, you will have some time to take a break and to try some of the best Polish desserts in town.

Afterwards you will head to Kazimierz, a district filled with rich history. Visit the district's various synagogues and a cemetery. Learn more about the history of the former center of Jewish life in Krakow. Continue your way to Wolnica Square and take a look at the Corpus Christi Church with a magnificent interior. The tour ends beneath Wawel Castle, the royal residence of Polish princes and kings since the 10th century.
