  • Take a look at the fantastic landscape of Serbia

Description

Your guide will meet you at your hotel or other meeting point and you will set off together on the way to Felix Romuliana near Gamizgrad.

The road will lead you through the valley of the river Morava. The valley is known as the only natural passage through the Balkan Peninsula and you have the opportunity to admire beautiful views, mythical mountains and the scenery of the unusual mountain Rtanj.

The palace was named Felix Romula Palace by Emperor Galerius Maximianus in honor of his mother Romula, the name means happy Romula and should bring luck to this place. It lies in the middle of cornfields, near the nearby village of Gamzigrad in Eastern Serbia.

From Gamizgrad the tour will continue to Bor, a mining town with one of the largest copper mines in Europe. Here you will explore the largest man-made cave in Europe. This open-cast mine, as well as the scenery of that time, can be well visited from a visitor's terrace.

Afterwards you will have the opportunity to have lunch in a local restaurant by the lake. After a delicious meal and an eventful day you will return to Belgrade.
