Description

Explore Brindisi, the historical city in the east of Italy. The guided tour will start from the seafront in Brindisi where you can already admire the Roman columns, a symbol of the city and the end of the world-renowned Appian Way, the most important commercial route of the Romans.

From this position you can also admire the monument to the sailors of Italian. During the first World War, Brindisi's harbor was used as a military base. The monument is a memorial to the sailors who had to die in the war.

Continue walking and you will arrive at Piazza Duomo where you will visit the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist with a magnificent interior and the palace of the seminary. The tour goes on with a visit to the Provincial Archaeological Museum "F. Ribezzo". Here you can learn more about the history and see more remains from older times. You will end at the Granafei-Nervegna palace, an importan building where you can find the top part of the column of the Appian Way.
