Description

Join a walking tour through Oxmantown, one of the oldest parts of Dublin situated on the Northside of the city. During your city tour, you will unveil the rich haunted history of the former Viking enclave. Visit one of the most powerful monastic settlements in Ireland in medieval times, Saint Mary's Abbey. Listen to the thrilling story of Lord Norbury, a sadistic “Hanging Judge“ who presided over the trial of Robert Emmet.

According to legends, Emmet can still be found looking out of the window at The Brazen Head. Learn more about the legend of Scaldbrother, a medieval thief whose buried treasure may still lie in a labyrinth of tunnels under Smithfield. Listen to the story about Billy the Bowl, a 18th century murderer who terrorized Stoneybatter and Grangegorman. Are you brave enough to walk down Hendrick Street to see two of the most haunted places of Dublin?

Pay a visit to the haunted hospital and take a look at Croppie's Acre. This long-abandoned site was used as a football pitch in the 20th century. Shocking when you consider that it is a mass grave – the final resting place of hundreds of rebels executed after the 1798 rebellion. Hear tales of the mummies of Saint Michan's Church, a major inspiration for Bram Stoker, the author of “Dracula“. Discover the hidden sites of Dublin and listen to thrilling legends.
