Start your exciting journey through the history of this building. The probably most outstanding part is the White Tower. Inside, you'll admire among others the great suit of armor by Henry VIII's XXXL. Beside the Royal Armories collection you should also note the ancient St John's Chapel. Built in 1080, it is the oldest church across London.
The Tower of London witnesses of morbid happenings. Behind its thick walls, 22 executions took place, including three queens and two kings. Although the Tower of London is most famous for his prisoners and the beheadings that took place here, you'll discover that it served as a royal residence at various times. Even today, you'll be able to marvel at the stunning British Crown Jewels that are kept here.
Another attractions keeps moving around inside the walls. Follow a tour during which a so called ‘Beefeater’ shows you how they have been guarding the tower for centuries. The one-hour-long tour starts every 30 minutes next to the main entrance and will introduce you into stories about torture, intrigues and imprisonment.
