Your experience

  • Marvel at the archaeological wonder of the Terracotta Army, one of China's first sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List
  • Follow the history of terracotta warriors buried next to the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty, created to protect him in the afterlife
  • Forget any inconvenience with our professional and friendly team

On the way to the Museum of the Terracotta Warriors, you will first stop at the Terracotta Factory, which specialises in the restoration of the figures

The terracotta soldiers and horses are one of the most important archaeological finds of the 20th century. They were discovered in 1974 by local farmers and are now in one of the most visited museums in the world.

Life-size terracotta figures of warriors and horses are arranged in a fighting position and are the main attraction of the museum. The replicas give you an idea of what Qin Shi Huang's army looked like in the years 210 to 209 B.C. The army was created to protect the emperor in his life after death. Even today there are still huge areas of land with undiscovered treasures

Different parterres have different figures - from military personnel to musicians and acrobats. In the largest and most impressive vault you will see figures arranged in a typical fighting position. Officers and soldiers with swords or spears are lined up in eleven rows. Others steer horse-drawn chariots as if they were ready for their final battle. Do not hesitate to explore the museum's exhibits and watch a film about the fascinating history of the mausoleum.

After enjoying a lunch of traditional Chinese cuisine, drive to the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum.
