Description

Take a full-day trip from Santiago de Compostela to the Costa da Morte. The Coast of Death stretches over various kilometres along the north-west coast of Galicia. During your tour, you will visit different villages of the southern part of the part of Coast of Death: Pontemaceira, Muros, Finisterre and Muxia. You will first stop in Pontemaceira, famous for its medieval 14th-century bridge. Stop at the top of Paxareiras, a great viewpoint to admire the magnificent coastline.

After enjoying the breathtaking view, you will continue your way to Muros. Explore the authentic marine quarter and learn more about the town's history. The next stop is Ézaro, where you can see the world's only waterfall that flows into the sea. Take the road to Finisterre and pay a visit to the active lighthouse on Cape Finisterre.

Muxía is the last stop of your journey. Explore the charming fishing village on the south side of the Ría de Camariñas. Get to know the popular pilgrimage spot and gaze at the Monument to the Prestige Tanker that spilled gallons of oil into the Atlantic Ocean in 2002. Then marvel at the ancient Virxe da Barca sanctuary. Finally, you will return to Santiago de Compostela.
