Your experience

  • Discover the best of Skopje on a private city tour
  • Explore the city's most famous sights
  • Take a boat trip

Discover the most famous sights of Skopje on a private city tour. After a comfortable pick-up from your hotel you will be taken to the Plateu, where the Museum of Contemporary Art is located. From here you have a wonderful view of Skopje and the history of the city begins here. Afterwards you visit the fortress Kale. Then we visit the Mustapha Pasha Mosque and the Church of the Holy Redeemer. You will then visit the Museum of Macedonia, which consists of three parts: an icon gallery and an ethnological and historical section. Then continue your walk through the Old Bazaar, where you can see two more caravanserai - Chifte Hammam and Daut Pasha Hammam from the 15th century.

Continue towards the modern part of the city on the right bank of the Vardar river. Before crossing the stone bridge, which is one of Skopje's oldest landmarks, you will see the Holocaust Memorial Centre and the Museum of the Macedonian Independence Struggle. On the other side of the river is the most important place in Macedonia with many statues and monuments. The next destination of your tour is the Mother Teresa Memorial House, where Mother Teresa was born.

Then drive to Gorno Nerezi village to visit the church of St. Pantelejmon. Next, a visit to the Matka gorge, about 17 km from Skopje, awaits you. Follow the path that leads past the dam and the artificially constructed Matka Lake and you will reach the St. Andreas Monastery. Afterwards we will take a boat trip on the Canyon Matka (8 km long) and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, the scents of the flora and the songs of the numerous birds that live here. Next you will explore the cave of Vrelo. With a bit of luck you can see some wild animals like ducklings, wild boar, rabbits or similar. After visiting the Matka canyon, we return to Skopje.
