Tobias is a part of the neighborhood that one notices to him and he informs entertainingly with a lot of historical information. On the side there is also some contemporary information. This was our second tour after "Kreuzberg 61". The focus was on the people and their stories in the 20s in the "Rainbow" district of Schöneberg. In his explanations Tobias vividly and competently revived the wild time of the Weimar Republic and its "hot spots". You felt like you were back in time. Very recommendable!

Your experience

Description

Since the beginning of the 1920s, the area around Nollendorfplatz has been one of the most famous rainbow districts in the world

Nowhere else in Berlin was there such a density of simple pubs and dance halls, glamorous bars and exclusive dance venues for a homosexual audience

Embark on a historical search for traces in the north of Schöneberg and learn about the people and places that shaped the diverse gay and lesbian life in the area between the First World War and the Nazi takeover
