Description

Visit one of the most important places in Polish history and a true cultural treasure, the Royal Cathedral of Wawel. The church in Gothic style is picturesquely situated on the Wawel Hill, surrounded by medieval castle walls. The more than 900-year-old building is Poland's national sanctuary and traditionally served as the coronation site of Polish monarchs.

Learn about the repeated destruction and reconstruction of the church during a tour with an audio guide. With the cathedral they discover the place that witnessed the most important events of the Polish nation. Immediately afterwards you will visit the Sigismund Tower, site of one of the largest Polish church bell systems, the Sigismund's Bell. From the tower you can enjoy breathtaking views of the old town.

Later you will walk to the chapels and burial chambers, which are the postal burial place of the Polish heads of state and government. At the end of the visit you will have the opportunity to spend some time in the Museum of John Paul II, which is rich in important exhibits
