Enjoy a comprehensive city tour through Marrakech and explore the medieval alleys, souks and medina of Morocco's "Red City" through its palaces and monuments. After a pick up from your hotel or riad at 9am, you will explore one of Morocco's oldest imperial cities in places like Koutoubia, one of the largest and most beautiful mosques in the western Muslim world. Marvel at the 221 foot minaret and the masterful architecture reminiscent of the Giralda of Seville. We continue to a peaceful area in the Kasbah to see the 16th century Saadian tombs of Sultan Ahmad al-Mansu. Admire the colourful tiles, the Arabic script and the intricate carvings that remained hidden from the world after they were sealed until 1917. Then spend an hour in the 19th century Bahia Palace, built in 7 years by 1,000 Fez craftsmen. The greatest example of Moroccan and Islamic architecture in the world, a random arrangement of secret apartments that open onto inner courtyards and lie in the middle of a 2 acre garden. Then go to Jemaa El-Fnaa, the main square of Marrakech and the market square. Through the medina there are several souks to discover. From silk spinners and spice sellers to carpets and crystals. Every small street has its own identity and its own unique selling point.
