Description

The Paris Army Museum (Musée de l'Armée) is one of the three largest weapons museums in the world and houses one of the largest military history and art collections in the world. None other than Napoleon Bonaparte has rested here in his tomb since 1861. Get priority access to this comprehensive collection of weapons, armor and art.

The Artillery Museum has an extensive collection of artillery weapons collected during the Revolution. Stand next to a cannon for a selfie and feel how Napoleon once did the same

The Dôme des Invalides, which houses the tomb of Napoleon I, was built between 1677 and 1706, and its 110-metre-high golden dome reaches up to the Parisian sky. His son and his brothers also rest here, and the laurel crown and the inscriptions represent the greatest victories of the empire.

In the Old Department you can see armour and weapons from the 13th to 17th century. Numerous objects relating to important figures in French history, from Francis I to Louis XIII, will help you imagine what it might have been like to be at war during this period. Also in the modern section, visit the bloodiest battles, explore the lives of the soldiers and learn how technology has changed over the years.
