Explore not only the Colosseum, but all important sites of ancient Rome on a small group tour that combines context, history and anecdotes.
Your tour begins with the Colosseum, where you skip the long lines and immerse yourself in the bloody but politically important story. As you stroll along the first and second levels, your experienced guide will help you separate facts from fiction. From the life of the gladiators to the hand signals with which the emperors condemned the fighters, you will learn everything there is to know.
Then get to know the Roman Forum comprehensively, from the pleasures of ancient Rome to the shop where you can buy souvenirs. On the way you will admire the Titanic Arch of Constantine, the final resting place of Julius Caesar and the temple of the Vestaline Maidens, who were entrusted with the easy task of preserving morality in ancient Rome.
Finally, climb the Palatine and listen to the legend of Romulus and Remus, the mythological twin founders of Rome, who were raised by a wolf. Explore the old palaces and learn how the word "palace" originated right here, in the home of Caesar's heirs.
Tips for the guide are welcome, but never obligatory. Please note that the meeting point is 15 minutes before the start time.

Only small backpacks and handbags are allowed in the Colosseum, Forum Romanum and the Palatin. Guests with larger luggage are not allowed to enter. There are no storage rooms on site. All visitors must now pass through a security check before entering the Colosseum.
Since the Colosseum can only accommodate 3,000 people at a time, waiting times may occur despite skip-the-line tickets.
The Colosseum is occasionally closed. The administration of the Colosseum is usually aware of this and informs the organiser the day before about the closure. Please provide detailed contact information if you need to be available to postpone your tour.
