Your day starts in Central Florence where you’ll meet your small group of no more than 18 people and expert tour leader. Then you’ll hop into our private mini buses and we’ll spirit you out of the city and over to Siena, one of the best-preserved examples of medieval Italian architecture in the world. Spared German bombing in World War 2, this time capsule of ancient, precarious-looking buildings is home to the Palio, one of the greatest and most dangerous horse races in the world. Your expert tour leader will immerse you in the unique history and culture of Siena as you explore its narrow streets before escorting you to the doors of the breathtaking Siena Cathedral.
Next we take you from the city to Siena, one of the best preserved examples of medieval Italian architecture. The Palio, one of the largest and most dangerous horse races in the world, was bombed by the Germans in World War II. Your experienced guide will immerse you in the unique history and culture of Siena as you explore the narrow streets, before taking you to the doors of the breathtaking Cathedral of Siena.
A walk through the hills of the Tuscan cities will make you hungry and thirsty, so that your next highlight is an authentic Italian family business, where some of our good friends offer you a tour of the vineyards and wine cellars. Afterwards you will have a sumptuous, all-embracing lunch and get to know Chianti wines.

Please note that the Cathedral of Siena is closed on Sundays during our visiting hours and remains closed during special celebrations, including the Easter celebrations. If this happens during your visit, we will take an alternative route that includes the cathedral from the outside. We cannot give refunds or discounts.
Please remember that the cathedral is a sacred place and the clothes must be appropriate for the visit. Both men and women are asked to wear clothes that cover at least their shoulders and knees. Walks cannot be held responsible for refusal of entry due to inappropriate clothing.
