Marvel at the amazing Richard Serra sculpture, which consists of four steel plates
Explore the west coast of Qatar and enjoy the majestic view of the west coast. Zekreet Fort dates back to the late 18th or early 19th century. The shape of the fortress is square with four round watchtowers. See the unique umbrella-shaped stone hut on a limestone hill, as well as important sights of the film city. These were built in Zekreet for use in film production. You will see a large fortress surrounded by palm trees. Then visit the East-West / West-East sculpture in the desert of Richard Serra. This breathtaking sculpture in the Brouq nature reserve stretches over one kilometre and consists of four steel plates, each more than fourteen metres high. To ensure perfect alignment, Serra has examined the topography of the country and beautifully upgraded the vast, desolate space in the heart of the desert. The result is spectacular, albeit modern and timeless.
