Your experience

  • Discover the culinary side of Chicago on a special tour
  • Stroll through The Loop, Millennium Park and much more
  • Enjoy the unique Deep Dish Pizza and other local delicacies

With Secret Food Tours you will discover the culinary side of Chicago.

We start with one of Chicago's most famous dishes and one that sets us apart from New York: Deep-dish pizza. A marvel of taste and technology, upside down and baked for 45 minutes.

Next we go to one of the oldest bars in "The Loop", where we experience the culinary influence of the Polish and German immigrants.

Continue to the Winter Garden in the Harold P. Washington Library. Here we begin a comprehensive historical and architectural introduction to one of the most important US cities. Chicago's public artworks are by some of the most renowned artists of the 20th century: Miro, Picasso, Calder and Chagall. We pass Alexander Calder's Flamingo while we talk about Chicago's most famous mayor and the legacy of public art he left behind.

Next up is a sweet, secret dinner that is loved by all Chicagoans and visitors. Afterwards we will go to Chicago's oldest Italian restaurant. We will eat the traditional Italian beef sandwich. There are many ways to order a beef, but only one way for locals: sweet, spicy and dipped.

Get your camera ready for the next leg of our journey through Millennium Park. We have several stations that are perfect for a selfie, including the iconic reflective "Cloud Gate" sculpture, commonly known as "The Bean".

Continue on to the extravagant lobby of one of the few "Historic Hotels of America". Here we try an original brownie.

We end our tour in an important cultural building to see a Tiffany masterpiece: the largest skylight ever designed by the famous glassmaker.
