Next you'll experience Segovia Cathedral, one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in Europe. After a lunch break you drive to El Escorial, the former residence of the kings of Spain. The monastery castle will impress you with its incredible beauty. See its captivating rooms and learn how it was built by the Catholic Church, a visionary king and with the help of a flood of gold from America. The highlight of your visit is the Pantheon of the Kings, a huge chamber with the coffins of 26 kings and queens from the dynasties of the Habsburgs and Bourbons. Your tour lasts 1.5 hours and also includes the Basilica and the private apartments members of the royal family. Then get back on the bus and drive back to Madrid for one hour.
