Legend has it that the name "Valpolicella" is derived from the words "valle", "poli" and "cellae", meaning "valley of many cellars".
The northern part of the province of Verona, which stretches from east to west, is a traditional wine-growing area. The term "Classico" refers exclusively to wines from the oldest wine-growing areas of Negrar, Fumane, Marano, Sant'Ambrogio and San Pietro in Cariano. It has a delicate and vinous aroma reminiscent of bitter almonds.
On this tour you will be able to taste our genuine local gastronomic products such as cold meats, cheeses and Valpolicella wines.
You'll fall in love with our three classics, such as Valpolicella Classico, Valpolicella Ripasso and Valpolicella Superiore.
For each wine the terroir of the origin, the grape variety, the vinification and the taste characteristics are presented.
You can combine the wine tasting with cold meats and cheeses from the Verona region.
