Private visit to Leeds Castle:
Leeds Castle is described by Lord Conway as "the most beautiful castle in the world" and covers an area of 500 hectares on two idyllic islands, deep in the heart of the magnificent countryside of Kent. Early arrival ensures an almost private visit to Leeds Castle, where Henry VIII retired to escape the plague that raged in London during his reign.
Upon arrival at Leeds Castle, you will be greeted by your guide. Discover the history of this magical castle and try a glass of mead as Henry VIII would have done! (The mead is not available on Saturdays during the summer months).
Visit Canterbury Cathedral:
Canterbury, the centre of English Christianity and home to 104 archbishops since Augustine, is a great medieval city that is a must for any history lover. Discover the scene of Archbishop Thomas Becket's cruel murder in Canterbury Cathedral in 1170. Learn the story behind this fascinating masterpiece of medieval architecture. See the cathedral's spectacular stained glass windows, many of which date from the late 12th and early 13th centuries.
Free lunch pack:
To save you time, money and the search for a place to eat, our tour also includes a delicious packed lunch! Avoid wasting time waiting for a meal in a restaurant - this means you can get the most out of every stop and don't waste valuable exploration time.
The White Cliffs from Dover:
Visit the gateway to England and admire the famous White Cliffs of Dover, with a photo stop at the stunning coastline facing continental Europe. You'll also see Dover Castle, an imposing medieval fortress towering over the English Channel and an important location in 'The Other Boleyn Girl'.
Greenwich, overlooking the Thames, is a stunning World Heritage site with many beautiful maritime landmarks. See the Old Royal Naval College designed by Sir Christopher Wren and the world famous Cutty Sark, a fascinating 19th century clipper ship.
From 16 November to 23 December 2018, you can explore Canterbury's Christmas Market. With over 70 wooden huts adorned with holly and ivy and home to delicious smoked sausages, hot fruity mulled wine cups, unique jewellery and festive gifts, children's activities and more, it's the perfect complement to your Christmas adventure. With live music entertainment, including long festive classics, it's guaranteed to put you in the Christmas mood. Once you've roamed the market, you can also explore the nearby shops for the last-minute gifts that are still on your list!
Boat trip on the Thames:
Get a fresh look at London's attractions with our boat trip on the Thames from Greenwich to Embankment Pier, past Tower Bridge and the stunning St Paul's Cathedral.
The estimated time of arrival back at Embankment Pier, where the tour ends, is around 18:30.
Bonus - free walking tour:
Why not follow in the footsteps of Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, or go to the places where the Fab Four worked and played in London. You can choose between the Royal Walking Tour and the Beatles London Walking Tour.
During peak hours, additional vehicles can be used without wifi.
Leeds Castle will be closed on 4 November 2018. Therefore we will visit Dover Castle instead.
