Your experience

Highlights

  • Enjoy a drive along the Constantia wine route and a short coffee break in the vineyards
  • Stop for a photo stop at the colorful beach houses of St. James and visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach
  • Marvel at the Cape of Good Hope and make an ascent to the cliff of Cape Point or a ride with the "Flying Dutchman"

Description

At 9:00 in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel. From there you first visit the Constantia wine region, which is the oldest wine-growing region on the Cape. In order to get a taste of the beauty of the landscape, you have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious coffee in a café surrounded by vineyards. Here you have a fantastic panoramic view

Afterwards we continue to the colorful beach houses of St. James, from where wonderful views of the "False" bay open up.

The African penguins at Boulders Beach will immediately take you into their hearts. The cute animals often behave very clumsy on land, but are master swimmers and great entertainers.

In the Cape Point Nature Reserve you can discover baboons, bouquets and various South African animals as well as the uniqueness of the Fynbos landscape. Of course you have to take a photo in front of the famous sign that shows the most southwestern corner of Africa. To the lighthouse, the landmark of Cape Point, a rustic cable-railway leads you, which is called the "Flying Dutchman". Alternatively, a 20-minute hiking trail leads to the lighthouse and its cliff.

If the weather is fine, you can picnic at lunchtime on a beach away from the hustle and bustle in the Cape Point Nature Reserve. Sandwiches can be bought in a nearby bistro. An excellent fish restaurant is also nearby.

On the way back, you will marvel at the panoramic views on the spectacular Chapman´s Peak Drive, which was carved into the mountain in seven years of work.

If you wish, you can also take a sundowner in the chic town of Camps Bay, where the sun sinks into the sea in the evening.

The tour can also be done the other way round, so we start with the Chapman´s peak and our last stop takes us to the Constantia wine region.
