Explore the old town and the new town of Mendoza with its numerous sights and learn something about the history of the city.
At the beginning of the tour you will be picked up at your hotel. First you will visit the historical foundation museum. Don Pedro del Castillo founded the city there in 1561. After the earthquake of 1861, there is still a square and Jesuit ruins.
You can also see the Cathedral, the Basilica of St. Francis, the former Banco Hipotecario (now Ministry of Culture and Tourism), the Andean Trade and the former Bank of Mendoza (now Contemporary Art Space), the Independencia and the Spanish squares as well as the Citizen Quarter.
Later you will continue along the prestigious Emilio Civit street, a residential area that leads to General San Martin Park. Enter the famous gates to the Cerro de la Gloria, where the monument to San Martín and his army is located. Finally, we go to Challao, where the Santuario de la Virgen de Lourdes is located. Enjoy the spectacular view of the Mendozin mountains.
Around noon you will be taken back to your hotel.
