Your experience

  • Experience an incredible journey through the Quebrada de Humahuaca and visit the most beautiful small villages in the area
  • Discover the area where the landscape and the colours of the hills blend with the equally colourful cultures
  • Learn more about Argentina's past and heritage from your tour guide

Take a day trip to discover the cities, cultures and natural beauties of the region.

You will be picked up from your hotel in Salta early in the morning around 07:00. The first stop will be in the town of Purmamarca, where you will have the opportunity to visit the Seven Colours Mountain, the church and the crafts market. You will then pass the Horn Post and continue towards Tilcara to visit Pucará and the Archaeological Museum.

Your next stop is in Huacalera, where you will pass the "Tropic of Capricorn" and from where you can see the beautiful colors of the Pollera de la Colla mountain. Then visit the church of Uquía, where you can admire the paintings of the angels Arcabuceros (important remains of Cuzco style art).

Your journey will then continue to Humahuaca, where you will visit the important cathedral and the Monument of Independence (El Indio) by sculptor Soto Avendaño.

After a small lunch you will return to explore the area of "the Painter's Palette" that surrounds the city of Maimara. If time permits, return to Salta on a path with lush subtropical vegetation, pass the Abra de Santa Laura and see the dam of La Ciénaga, Las Maderas and Campo Alegre.

The tour ends after many new and wonderful impressions with the return to your hotel around 20:00 o'clock.
