Your experience

Highlights

  • Gain an insight into the life of the locals
  • Stroll through an authentic market
  • Visit a non-tourist temple
  • Explore the green lungs of Bangkok

Description

Get to know an original part of Bangkok by rickshaw

First you visit the largest fish market of the Thai capital, which is also one of the most original. Stroll among the stalls that seem to offer almost everything for sale, from fresh fruit and vegetables and herbs to live frogs, chickens and clothing

Enjoy the bustle and learn how the locals live on and around the market. Then take a tuk-tuk to the pier where you cross the impressive Chao Phraya River in a typical Thai longtail boat. On the other bank a new side of Bangkok awaits you, without skyscrapers and with little traffic. Explore the green lung of the city, which is hidden from most tourists, in a rickshaw. Drive along banana trees and coconut plantations, pass the houses of the locals on stilts and stop at a Buddhist temple.

Enjoy a delicious Thai meal in a local restaurant before relaxing and feeding fish in a well maintained public park. With a little luck you will meet the most famous inhabitants of this park, giant monitor lizards. Finally, you reach the pier again by rickshaw, from where you cross the river again. Your guide will help you find a taxi back to your hotel.
