Enjoy a guided excursion to the beautiful city of Matera.
Matera is one of the oldest cities in the world, dating back to the Palaeolithic Age. The best way to visit Matera and learn more about its history is by walking. Explore this complex and beautiful network of caves, the churches carved entirely into the rock and the narrow streets on foot to experience Matera at its best.
The visit takes us on a journey through the history of a town carved into the rock, where its inhabitants lived until the 20th century. The route includes a visit to a cave-like house recently opened to the public, as well as old rupestrian churches and cisterns.
