Your experience

Believe it or not, the collection of the Russian Museum in Málaga fills an entire old tobacco factory! See works by Ilya Repin, Wassily Kandinsky and Vladimir Tatlin in the first foreign branch of the State Russian Museum in Saint Petersburg.

Every art lover will be delighted not only by the works shown here, but also by the venue. The 2,300 square metre tobacco factory, which was built in the 1920s in the regionalist style, today houses the Russian art of the centuries - and much more. The Tabacalera has a small auditorium, three different projection rooms, a room for digital resources and a reading room with reference books!

Come here to discover a wide range of art, from beautiful Byzantine-inspired works to thoughtful social realism that takes you back to the Soviet era.

On the walls hang Kazimir Malevich, Vladimir Tatlin, Wassily Kandinsky and Marc Chagall. And when you leave, why don't you talk about what you have learned about a Belarusian in a beautiful place? You're on a city trip.

Romanov Dynasty

22-2-2017 to 21-1-2018 Russia's epic Romanov dynasty began in the 14th century with Andrei Ivanovich Kobyla and continued until early 1900. This major project examines this 500-year turbulent history through contemporary portraits of Russia's decadent rulers.

Alexéi y Andreas Jawlensky: the adventure of colour

10/8/2017 - 21/1/2018 The father-son duo Alexéi and Andreas Jawlensky has had a lasting influence on the world of modern art, both as a couple and individually. Alexéi specialized in his own brand of "invisible reality" and transformed feelings and emotions into surrealistic masterpieces. His son was more focused on physical reality, with a characteristic graphic sensibility that made him a well-known name in the 1900s.
