Your experience

Description

Unless you are running the London Marathon, it will be almost impossible to see the whole city in one day. But this comprehensive, guided tour will give you a cheerful overview as it reaches most of the iconic sites of the English capital.

Your journey through the city begins at Westminster Abbey, where you can visit the graves of legendary figures Sir Isaac Newton and Charles Dickens, as well as hear all the interesting tidbits from royal weddings over the years in this breathtaking Gothic setting.

From there, you will turn your attention to the action in St. James's Park, where you will visit either the world famous Changing of the Guard from Wellington Barracks and/or, depending on the day of your tour, Buckingham Palace and the equally impressive Changing of the Queen's Life Guard

Before lunch, your group will learn some fascinating secrets of Trafalgar Square, under the steady gaze of Lord Admiral Nelson. The doves are usually gone, but the hawk-eyed among you could see the winged security that is hired every day to keep the former inhabitants of the place away.

After reconnecting with your guide for the second half of the tour, your feet will get the rest they deserve as you travel down the Thames to take in the London Eye, St Paul's Cathedral, the Shard, Tower Bridge and other remarkable sights

Once you leave your River Rover, your guide will take you over Tower Bridge (remember your camera!), then through the bloody, turbulent history inside the Tower of London. Explore his eventful journey through murder, persecution and mystery before ending your day with the opportunity to view the crown jewels of the royal family.
