Your experience

Learn all about Irish emigration at the Cobh Heritage Centre, which is housed in a cool, restored Victorian railway station. Follow your ancestors, learn more about the Titanic and the Lusitania and immerse yourself in Irish naval and military history!

This beautifully restored Victorian station is the place where almost three million people began their emigration from Ireland.

The Queenstown Story in the Cobh Heritage Centre tells the fascinating story of Irish emigration with original, modern displays. Find out who emigrated from Cork Harbour in the 17th to 20th centuries and why.

The wide range of history encompasses a broad spectrum of people and goals. Indentured servants and forced labourers to America and the West Indies in the 1600s. Prisoners being transported to Australia and Canada. The masses were driven to North America by the Great Famine, and even the 123 passengers of the Titanic who boarded the ill-fated ship here in Cobh.
