Your experience

The bridge on the river Kwai became famous all over the world when it was shown in the award-winning film of 1957. Cross it yourself on foot on a full day guided tour from Bangkok. You will learn about its tragic history and relax over lunch in a local restaurant.

Some people say that every sleeper lying on the tracks of the infamous "Death Railway" represents a life lost during construction.

The route built by prisoners of war and Asian forced laborers during World War II to link Myanmar with Thailand lasted 250 miles and conditions were so bad that disease, malnutrition and exhaustion destroyed most of the people forced to work on it.

On this fascinating tour you will be picked up from Bangkok and driven to the city of Kanchanaburi, where you will have lunch in a local restaurant and pay homage to those who took part in this dangerous project.

See the world famous River Kwai Bridge, part of the Death Railway. Experience how this historic wooden construction rattles when a Death Railway train passes over the viaduct, which was also built by Asian civilian workers and Allied prisoners of war.

Visit two well-maintained cemeteries with around 9,000 soldiers and get a real insight into the harsh realities of war in the renowned Thailand-Burma Railway Centre.
