Description

Let us pick you up directly at your hotel in Kandy to start your excursion. After about 3 1/2 hours you will reach the Horton Plains National Park. It is the coldest and windiest place in the country, covered in wild grasslands and interspersed with dense forests, rocky outcrops, filigree waterfalls and foggy lakes

The surprising diversity of the landscape is complemented by the diversity of the animal world. In this diverse world, discover the so-called "end of the world", a steep cliff with a gradient of about 1,200 m (4,000 feet). It is one of the most visited places in the Horton Plains National Park, as the views and nature are truly unique.

Large mammals were rarely seen in Horton Plains. To the mammals, that however still occur in sufficient number, belong the Kelaart-Langkrallenspitzmaus, the Schlankloris, the Ceylon-hat-monkey, as well as the violet-faced Langurs and many other small animals. The National Park is also home to 12 species of endemic birds. All the animals and the beautiful nature can be discovered here

The tour then takes you to the small town of Nuwara Eliya, where you will visit the Pedro Tea Estate, after about an hour's drive. There you will learn about the complete processes of making tea, which is then sorted and packaged for export to all corners of the world.

After an eventful day in the middle of nature, you will arrive back in Kandy after about 2 1/5 hours drive.
