Enjoy an exciting tour, on which the "Neustadt" with its urban thinning projects from the early XXth century will be presented. Century and the "old town" with its hidden treasures are connected.

First you will visit the Chiesa di Santa Teresa dei Maschi, where you will hear about the history of the church and architectural details of the façade.

Then we go to Palazzo Simi - Centro Operativo per l'Archeologia. There you will have a guided tour of the excavations and visit the small Byzantine church and the exhibition rooms for archaeological artifacts.

The tour continues to the so-called "Block 49", which faces Largo San Sabino. A complex of medieval houses that almost completely preserve the old structure of the buildings.

Also visit the Cathedral of San Sabino (entrance ticket not included) and see the "succorpo" (crypt) and the archaeological excavations on a complete tour.

Walk further along the "Muraglia" (city wall) and learn more about Bari and its hidden treasures

After walking north along the entire city wall, you enter the old part of the town and discover the narrow streets leading to the small square Piazzetta Santa Maria, one of the most picturesque corners of the old town. Here you can visit the ruins of the church of Santa Maria del Buon Consiglio.
