Description

Enjoy an exciting tour through the world-famous Uffizi Gallery. Before you explore it, your guide will tell you a little story about the creation of the gallery and how it became what it is today. See and learn more about the paintings of the Birth of Venus by Botticelli, the Annunciation by Leonardo da Vinci and the world's only panel painting by Michelangelo in the gallery itself.

Listen to your guide and be fascinated by the secrets, legends and interesting information behind the many paintings exhibited in this gallery. You are also welcome to ask questions about the various artists and paintings during the tour.

Later in the afternoon you will meet your tour guide in front of the Hard Rock Cafe to start the city tour. Get an insight into the history of this Renaissance city and how the incredible cultural movement of the Renaissance changed not only Florence but eventually the rest of Europe as well. Your tour begins in Piazza Della Republica, the main square of Florence, before you are taken directly to Piazza Della Duomo.

Passing by the old buildings and some of the historical sights of Florence, we continue to Palazzo Vecchio, where you will see the sculpture of David by Michelangelo. Afterwards you will stop at Palazzo Pitti, the huge palace created by the famous architect Filippo Brunelleschi and one of the greatest architectural monuments of Florence.

Finally, your guide will introduce you to other artists, architects, thinkers and political figures who led to the Renaissance, before ending the tour at the Cafe La Strega Nocciola to enjoy a delicious Italian ice cream.
