Description

This short and concise city tour is perfect for you if you are in Prague for the first time or if you have a short stay. Learn more about its fascinating history on a walk through the old town. You will also learn more about the Hussites and the life of the church reformer Jan Hus, whose huge monument stands on the Old Town Square. Look at the 27 crosses embedded in the pavement at the foot of the tower of the Old Town Hall, commemorating the execution of 27 men in 1621. During your sightseeing tour you will discover special features of Central European cultural history, such as the old university building Karolinum, the Estates Theatre and the site of Franz Kafka's birthplace

On the way you will also encounter various churches such as the church of St. Jacob and the church of Tein. If you are in Prague, you should of course also visit the Jewish ghetto, which is still surrounded by the special atmosphere of centuries-old traditions. Enjoy a pleasant walk through the quarter and stroll past six synagogues. Visit the old Jewish cemetery and learn more about the Chewra Kadischa, the Jewish funeral home.
