We had a wonderful and very individual day, which we won't forget for a moment

great

Can only report positively about the tour. Wallapa has been a great guide through the day. All activities were coordinated in advance have designed the tour according to our wishes. Since we had booked a private tour everything no problem. The railway market should be definitely seen and the route should be walked from beginning to end. You can have a look at the floating market, of course we have seen more of it. At the end we had the trip through the mangroves with the monkeys.

A nice tour. Above all, we liked the Talad Rom Hoob Market better than the Floating Market. Special thanks to our Guide Piew! She has made the tour even more interesting with her very good insider information, which we would otherwise never have experienced. I'd love to do it again.

Very well organized excursion. Our guide Benji has told us a lot worth knowing. The additional tour Klongs and swimming monkeys was a great experience for our whole group. Thank you so much for a lovely day.

This is already an experience when the monkeys swim to the boat and "board" the boat All in all a successful day.

We had a wonderful day with many positive impressions. The perspective from which we could see the Talad Rom Hoob Market was unique. The floating markets were also very nice, but really touristy. The monkey feeding in the mangroves was once again a special highlight at the end. Many thanks to our guide

Your experience

Highlights

  • Visit of the Talad Room Hood-Markets
  • Floating Market in Damnoen Saduak
  • Travel on a narrow-gauge railway
  • Mangrove forests with swimming monkey

Description

Your guide picks you up at 7.45am from the lobby of your hotel. With the bus, you will drive to the Talad Room Hoob Market.

The uniqueness of this market is that the merchants have to pack their things several times a day, because a train passes by - the booths are directly on the tracks! Assure yourself to the originalty of this market.

Afterwards we are visiting the Floating Market in Damnoen Saduak (on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays we will visit the floating market in Amphawa).

If you are interested in Klong Kone, we will go there and hop on a boat to drive through the mangrove forest with swimming monkeys.

We then go to the Maha Chai Station, hop on the narrow-gauge train and enjoy a 30-minute ride. We see, how the Thais live close to the tracks.

Our bus awaits us at the Khan Keha station and we will go back to Bangkog (drive about 45 minutes).

Note: I purposely did not chose the train ride to the Talad Rom Hoob market, because you can only see salt fields during this journey. The drive from Mahachai to Khan Keha is far more interesting.

Please note

Additional information

The provider requires for the Thai Tourism Authority of all participants the first and last name and nationality. Please provide this information to the provider at or after booking.

On this excursion the railway trip to the Talad Rom Hoob-Market was deliberately not chosen, as only salt fields can be seen on the way. More interesting is the trip from Mahachai to Khan Keha.

If you want to go to Klong Kone, the trip takes 1 hour 30 minutes longer.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday you will visit the floating market in Amphawa instead of the Floating Market in Damnoen Saduak. If you wish, the day trip can start at 10 am.

Included in the price

  • Local guide
  • Air-conditioned van
  • Railway-Ticket (Maha Chai-Khan Keha)
  • Lunch
  • Boat trip in Klong Kone and food for the monkeys (optional): 1500 Baht (ca. 37,50 Euro) for 2 people, each additional person pays 250 Baht (6,50 Euro).
