Maike had picked us up punctually at 10:30 o'clock from our hotel. Since we had not chosen any special sights, we left Maike to plan the day trip. First we did a little city tour and then Maike led us to Signal Hill. Here we had a beautiful view over the whole city, Table Mountain and Lions Head. Then we saw the beautiful area and places on the Cape Peninsula. Especially our lunch in Kalk Bay with fish and chips will remain in our memory. Via Cape Point, Cape of good Hope and Simons Town (Penguins) our tour ended at the Waterefront in the evening. With a good meal we closed this wonderful day. Many, many thanks Maike.

We spent a wonderful day with Maike on April 8, 2019. Maike is a very likeable person to whom we immediately found a very personal connection. She showed us many places in Cape Town that we would never have found ourselves, as they are not in any travel guide. Maike has an incredible knowledge about the country and its people and can tell about it vividly. On this day we saw far more than expected and felt well looked after. Especially worth mentioning is that Maike has already given us an incredible amount of great guys for our trip to South Africa via WhatsApp. We will definitely book Maike again for our next trip to South Africa!!!

Thank you Maike!!! Maike guided us the whole day through Cape Town. We got to see all the sights and the one or the other Ad on which was not to be found in the travel guide. Furthermore we got some tips for our next stop in Hermanus That's as good as it gets. Again many thanks to Maike von Steffi, Susanne, Stefan& Peter

We had had a very nice day in Cape Town together with Maike. After a very informative city tour together with Ursula we visited many nice places in and around Cape Town. Many of our questions were patiently answered by her. She guided us competently through the day and we felt very comfortable. Should we be in Cape Town again, we will certainly use their services again Thank you very much for the beautiful day

Maike made the tour very entertaining and entertaining. She's fully responded to our wishes. We've learned a lot about the country and its people. It was very interesting and varied To be recommended at any time!

great

Maike is very well versed and has responded to all our special requests. That our common trip to Table Mountain then unfortunately went down in the fog (Maike was certainly not responsible for it) she was visibly sorry and she stayed with us in the evening much longer than we had actually agreed (and paid). There were also good tips for the stay in Cape Town and the further journey. Maike even contacted me days later and asked if everything was going well. Exemplary and absolutely recommendable!

Description

I will pick you up at your hotel in the morning and we start our tour with a drive to Seapoint. During the Appartheid era, Seapoint was considered one of the most densely populated districts of the white middle class. Today, Seapoint is considered a young, up-and-coming trendy district with many small cafés and fashion shops.

Clifton
South of Seapoint is Clifton. Here you can marvel at imposing, secluded villas, which occasionally appear in the bay. Especially the four beautiful beaches protected by the rocky bay create a unique atmosphere. Although the water is quite cold (18 degrees C in summer), the popularity of the beaches, especially in summer, is extremely high, as there are many opportunities for sports and sunbathing.

Camps Bay
We continue on to Camps Bay, which lies directly below the 12 Apostles (a mountain range that stretches from Table Mountain to the coast). Camps Bay, with its white sandy beaches and palm tree alleys, is considered the most popular holiday destination in Cape Town. There are countless opportunities to do sports, visit cafés, enjoy extensive shopping orgies and visit the numerous nightclubs in the evenings.

Signal Hill
We leave the city area and drive up to Signal Hill on Table Mountain. In the past, the 350-metre-high elevation signalled to merchants that merchant ships were approaching the port. Today the hill serves as a panoramic square. From there you have a fantastic view over Cape Town. If you wish, we can also organize a small picnic there

Bo Kaap
After a short break on Signal Hill we drive down to Bo Kaap, the Muslim quarter of Cape Town. The image of the district is characterised by minarets and pastel-coloured houses, which are inhabited by Kapmalayen, descendants of the Asian slaves from the 17th century. The lovingly painted colourful houses in the quarter are definitely worth seeing.

Green Market Square
This is where our bus tour ends and we set off on foot to the historic city centre. Here we visit the Green Market Square, which was built in the year 1710 and therewith is considered as the second oldest square of the city. Cape Town's most famous and lively flea market is held here every day. Here you have the possibility to buy second-hand goods from dealers all over Africa. The one or other treasure has already been salvaged here

Old Town House
If the hustle and bustle is too much for you, we can also visit the Old Town House. Formerly an old town hall, now a museum which houses the Michaelis Collection (Flemish and Dutch works of art).

Company Garden
We walk on to Company Garden, the former garden of the Dutch East India Trade Company. Today there is a botanical garden where you can stroll around or have a coffee in one of the numerous cafés. There are also numerous museums, which we are very happy to visit

Parliament
We continue our tour and head for the parliament building. Parliament sits there from January to July. The building can be visited, however, due to security measures, all personal data must be registered and on entering the building, these must be shown as a passport

If the weather is fine, we can take a trip up Table Mountain afterwards.
